Tech Savvy Families - September 13, 2008 Stargate Founder's Conference , Westminster, Colorado.   Technology is an exciting learning tool for most students, but for gifted and talented students it represents the opportunity to engage in deep and complex thinking on a wide variety of topics. Learn about “Web 2.0” including interactive applications and technologies that are available for free.  See how these technologies can encourage critical and creative thinking as well teach 21st century literacies.  Participants will take home a list of free Web based applications that students can use for school projects and families can enjoy together.

IntensiveTech Savvy Parenting , Mondays, October 13, 20, 27 6:30 - 8pm.
Become familiar with the technologies tweens and teens are using.   We will explore the technologies, how to help keep your kids safe online, and suggestions for making use of technology to support student growth.  Learn about “Web 2.0” including interactive applications and technologies that are available for free.  See how these technologies can encourage critical and creative thinking as well teach 21st century literacies.  Participants will explore free Web based applications that students can use for school projects and families can enjoy together.
