Implications of the Read/Write Web for GT Education   2 hour workshop for teachers

Teachers will explore the Read/Write Web and how it can be used in the classroom.  Ideas for using Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, Photo and Video sharing as differentiation tools will be explored.  We will also explore the Read/Write Web as a tool for communication and expression.  Learn ways to keep students safe while encouraging technological literacy and providing constructivist tools for differentiation.


Enrichment 2.0   2 hour workshop for teachers

Enrichment 2.0 utilizes the internet technologies including: wikis, blogs, discussion boards, videoconferencing, podcasting, interactive graphic organizers, and social bookmarking to create constructivist learning. Learn more about these internet tools and technologies and discover how they can be used to create authentic learning for gifted students.

The GKN model was developed to support at risk gifted students particularly students living in poverty and students in rural communities.
