There are many forms of giftedness and for some students the talent development process takes place outside of school.  Examples of such types of giftedness are artistically and musically gifted students, creatively gifted students, technologically gifted students.  For these students much of the elementary school curriculum addresses their academic needs.  However, these students co-curricular activities and private tutoring/lessons are needed to help develop these student’s talents in the areas of art, music, technology and creativity.  Many of the after school enrichment activities are designed to appeal to students with gifts in the areas of art, music, technology and other creative endeavors.  In addition, there is a wealth of community activities that enrich students in these areas.
